I am carefull about attachments. I don't want to get addicted to any thing. I want to get addicted to very few things. The moment I realise I am getting attched to or addicted to a thing I try to get over it. Most of the times it is w.r.t small things. Am I using mobile too much? activate focus mode and greyscale modes. Then observe how I behave. Am I drinking too much tea? try not drink for couple of weeks. I did only once this experiment with coffee.
Quitting is often seen as a negative thing. But it's better to quit something silly and experiment how we behave. If we are missing it too much it means it has greater control on our lives. The aim is to use things as they are with having minimal emotions to physical objects. A phone is a phone. It's a tool. Instagram is a social media platform. We should not let these things take our control or time.
It is better to identify what controls us, identify the reason. And do some experiments.
I still drink tea. I do use Insta. But if I don't for couple of days nothing really changes much.
